   You can apply online until 11:59 p.m. that day. Mailed applications must be received by your county voter registration office by the deadline, and paper or in-person applications are accepted only during county office hours.

   In-person mail ballot voting

   Until 5 p.m. on Tuesday, October 27, 2026 (start date varies by county)

   Pennsylvania does not have early voting like many other states. Instead, once your county's ballots are ready, you can apply for, fill out, and hand in a mail ballot in one visit to your county election office or other designated location. Start dates vary by county.

   Mail-in or absentee ballot application deadline

   Received by your county election office by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, October 27, 2026

   Any registered voter can get a mail-in ballot without giving a reason. You can apply online, by mail, or in person at your county election office.

   Election Day poll hours

   Tuesday, November 3, 2026, 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

   If you are in line by 8 p.m., you can vote.

   Mail ballot return deadline

   Received by your county election office by 8 p.m. on Tuesday, November 3, 2026

   A postmark is not enough. You can also drop off your completed ballot in person at your county election office or other designated location until 8 p.m. on Election Day.
